Summit. Ahead.

Summit. Ahead.

A convening of technology, labor, and leadership.

2016 was a tumultuous year whatever your politics.
Was it?
(a) A miscarriage of justice.
(b) Demagogic.
(c) Confounding.
(d) A matter of signals not heard.
(e) An unexpected victory.
(f) An unexpected loss.
Whatever the answer, 2017 is a critical year for comprehending the forces behind the change; understanding how the disaffected feel; formulating prescriptions that can address their needs; and then understanding how to both articulate them and put them to work.
In plain terms, people who work have come to believe that a system that is not generating new opportunities ever will without fundamental change–and they have come to believe that anything is better than the status quo.At the same time, technology is rapidly disrupting the economy and can and will do more to displace both immediate benefits and hindrances
Where can labor and technology intersect to the benefit of workers who feel they don’t have a place in a world of global change? The reflexive, demagogic politics of blaming others when there is a vacuum of solutions leads to distrust and hate. How can we effectively communicate powerful new ideas that empower labor with the transformative force of technology?
35 curated and self-selected applicants from labor, technology and technology, from Europe and the United States, will spend 2 essential days, ~100 days after the inauguration of Donald Trump to delve into the path ahead that seeks to create opportunity based on ingenuity and innovation and the democratization of technology.
